George Mason University graduate scholarships

James and Barabara Browne Graduate Scholarship in Ethics

In order to underscore their long commitment to the importance of ethics and education, James and Barbara Browne have established a scholarship for a full-time graduate student with a demonstrated interest in ethics, either as an area of scholarly research or as an important goal in life and career. The recipient will be a George Mason student pursuing an MA in philosophy, an MA with a concentration or certificate in Professional Ethics, or in some other graduate area in which ethics is an important part, such as nursing or neuroethics. Preference will be given to students who can show significant financial need.

To apply, in addition to the regular application for admission to graduate study, the recipients will submit a one-page statement on how they plan to make use of their study of ethics in their future career. Deadline for applying for the scholarship is April 15.
