Theory and history of political community, governance, and development as understood by various non-Western societies, including China, Japan, India, Africa, and Islamic World; relations to Western tradition; methodology of studying other cultures; postcolonial theories; and cultural politics on contemporary globalization. May not be repeated for credit.
