CHR hosts first reception in Horizon Hall
CHR was delighted to co-sponsor a welcome reception for philoSOPHIA 2022 in Horizon Hall last Thursday, June 2.
George Mason University hosted "Entangled Ecologies: The Climate of Justice," philoSOPHIA's 15th annual conference, with hybrid events and panels running from Thursday, June 2, and through Saturday, June 4.
The event was co-organized by two CHR Steering Committee members, Rachel Jones (Associate Professor, Philosophy) and Rachel Lewis (Associate Professor, Women and Gender Studies).
The welcome reception followed a keynote by Andrea Pitts (Associate Professor of Philosophy, UNC Charlotte) entitled “The Apparatus of Addiction: Substance Use at the Crossroads of Colonial Ableism and Migration.”
