PHIL 306: Philosophy Internship

Students are encouraged to pursue internship during their studies and may apply to receive credit towards the major while in an internship, through PHIL 306. The course must relate to the major, be taken at the same time as the internship experience, and must be approved in advance by the PHIL undergraduate director.

The objectives of the internship program are to allow students to apply their philosophical skills to projects outside the classroom and to facilitate entry into the job market after graduation.

Students may pursue full or part-time internships, paid or unpaid. If seeking academic credit through PHIL 306, the number of credits will depend upon total hours worked at the internship. For each 45 hours of internship, 1 academic credit is awarded.
