At the beginning of the course, we’ll learn some of the basic conceptual tools of the trade that philosophers have developed and used in philosophizing.  Then we’ll move on to some of the vexing and yet exciting problems that have occupied the attention of philosophers, including: (i) the mind/body problem; (ii) the knowledge and nature of the physical world; (iii) the existence of God; and (iv) whether we have free will.
