PHIL173-DL2: Logic for Pre-Law

This course is an introduction to logic and critical thinking with a special emphasis on applying the concepts and techniques that we learn in the course to standard problems on the Law School Admissions Test. Students will learn the elements of formal logic, such as how to identify logical fallacies and to recognize the consequences of a set of claims. Topics  will include truth-functional logic, sentential logic, propositional logic, and predicate logic. Once students have mastered these skills, they will have opportunities to apply them to practice questions from the LSAT. No previous experience in philosophy is required.

PHIL 173 DL2 is a distance education section.
